Operation Santa Claus: Hong Kong table tennis lovers serve it up for charity
More than 250 adults and students took part in the second year of Charity Table Tennis Tournament at Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre

Cheers and joy filled the air at a fundraising table tennis competition in Hong Kong, as more than 250 adults and students picked up their paddles to play with heart for a good cause.
Now in its second year, the Charity Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Hong Kong Table Tennis Forum (HKTTF), was held at Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre in Fanling on December 7.
Ray Chan Shu-yan, who founded HKTTF in 2007, said the tournament aimed to spread warmth and love during the festive season.
“Table tennis is a sport for all ages and a great way to connect communities. This charity tournament turns the sport’s energy into meaningful social impact,” Chan said.
He added that HKTTF’s spirit was about “making friends through table tennis and giving back to society”.
