Hong Kong’s Li Ka Shing Foundation gifts 5,000 Disneyland tickets to domestic helpers
Expanded charity scheme will treat workers from six nations to free day at the theme park with meals and transport covered

The Li Ka Shing Foundation and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort are arranging free visits to the theme park for 5,000 domestic helpers under an expanded programme this year.
The charitable foundation, established by tycoon Li Ka-shing, said on Tuesday the number of helpers receiving the free visits would increase from 4,000 last year to 5,000. The initiative will also include more nationalities, extending beyond the Philippines to workers from Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Thailand.
The visits will be offered on March 29 and April 12.
Each participant will receive a one-day admission ticket to the park on Lantau Island, vouchers covering two full meals and a special snack, and an Octopus card for transport, with a total value of more than HK$1,000 (US$128).

“As a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to the city’s hardworking foreign domestic workers, the 2026 programme will feature even greater cultural diversity and an expanded number of participants, spreading warmth and appreciation across different communities,” the foundation said.
