Nick Reiner was taken into custody after the bodies of the prolific filmmaker, 78, and his wife Michele, 70, were found on Sunday

Rob Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, has been taken into custody after the deaths of the film director and his wife Michele, a police official said.
The official confirmed the 32-year-old was in police custody on Monday. The official could not publicly discuss details of the investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Online jail records show Reiner was booked by Los Angeles police and remained in custody on Monday. It was not immediately clear what charges he would face. The online records showed a US$4 million bail had been set.
Long-time director Reiner, 78, and his wife, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday in what police described as an apparent murder.

Earlier on Sunday, Margaret Stewart, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman, said the department was called to the Brentwood residence around 3.30pm for medical aid. Inside the home, the two bodies were found. Investigators believe the couple suffered stab wounds.
