A Malaysian professor was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his wife and daughter using a gas-filled yoga ball as his murder weapon in a “premeditated and calculated” plot to get his hands on properties the couple jointly owned.

Revelations from anonymous sources inside the Hong Kong police force to the South China Morning Post show how old-fashioned detective work uncovered the murder plot which left a mother and her teenage daughter dead inside a yellow Mini Cooper by a Hong Kong roadside with no visible cause.
