"Everyone reading this paper has at least one Linxens product in their pockets," says Charles Hosono, Linxens Asia-Pacific president.

As the unrivalled global industry leader, Linxens provides smart card connectors to all world-leading manufacturers of contact and dual-interface banking cards, SIM (subscriber identity module) cards and other electronic cards. Seizing the opportunity, Linxens established its strategically located Asia headquarters in Singapore, staffed with more than 350 employees, to reach its neighbouring countries easily.

"We chose Singapore for its strong legal and educational systems and its highly skilled workforce. Furthermore, since our products are based on technological know-how, it is important for us to be where intellectual property protection is at the top level," Hosono says.

Committed to pioneering new product applications, Linxens continuously invests in boosting its capabilities. With its acquisition of Thailand-based KnL Group, which specialises in RFID (radio-frequency identification) inlays and antennas, Linxens is poised to further diversify its product offerings.
