These two weeks, the Hong Kong Fashion Fest sweeps through the city, taking over its most iconic and culturally rich locations to celebrate fashion, culture and creativity.
From the creative emergence of Sham Shui Po to the modern elegance of Central and the artistic marvels of K11 Musea, the festival not only brings joy and entertainment but also showcases Hong Kong’s unique identity as a melting pot of tradition and innovation.
Running from November 20 to December 4, not only is this inaugural event a fashion spectacle full of glamour and entertainment but it’s also a vibrant journey into the city's creative soul.
With a packed programme spanning exhibitions, workshops, fashion shows, forums and more, the festival connects local talent with global audiences and showcases the diverse influences shaping Hong Kong’s fashion scene.
Presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), the festival brings together six key partners, including the Hong Kong Design Institute, Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, the Clothing Industry Training Authority, PMQ, Hong Kong Fashion Council and the Hong Kong Design Centre.
Victor Tsang, Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries, called it a groundbreaking step for the city’s creative scene.
“We actively engaged stakeholders in the curation and organisation of the event, injecting new elements and synergy for its programme with variety of fashion design activities and myriad collaborations with renowned brands, artists and designers,” he said.
The Hong Kong Fashion Fest delivers both tangible and intangible benefits to the city, according to Tsang. For local artisans and small businesses, the festival creates unparalleled opportunities for visibility, networking and growth.
“Showcasing their designs on an international stage allows our local creators to unlock new markets and foster collaborations that drive both innovation and growth,” he said. "It's about sharing ideas, cultural narratives and enriching Hong Kong’s creative identity while encouraging the next generation of designers.”
