Hollie Doyle relishing early support as she begins her first Hong Kong stint at Happy Valley
The 11-time Group One winner has seven rides as she begins her seven-week stint in the city

After successful stints in Japan for the past three years, Hollie Doyle is hoping a new off-season mission in Hong Kong can be just as fruitful when she saddles up on seven rides at Happy Valley on Wednesday night.
The 11-time Group One winner, who has ridden at the International Jockeys’ Challenge (IJC) every year since 2020, begins her first short-term stint in Hong Kong with a busy night at the city circuit.
That can be of little surprise – given her track record internationally and the fact she has plenty of Hong Kong experience to call upon – and she has been called up by five different trainers.
Having landed in Hong Kong on Monday afternoon and already galloped several of her Wednesday mounts on Tuesday morning, it has been a whirlwind start for Doyle, but she is relishing the challenge.

“You have to adapt very quickly to the different jurisdictions. I’m lucky to have travelled the world and got used to doing that now, but obviously it’s always very different here in Hong Kong – it’s tactical, it’s tight and sharp,” said Doyle.
