Falcons will take on FURIA in the grand final of BLAST Premier Hong Kong Rivals at the AsiaWorld-Arena on Sunday after taking down Team Vitality 2-0 in the second semi-final on Saturday evening.

The international squad have developed a deep rivalry with Vitality, a match up they had come out on the wrong side of on five occasions out of six heading into this encounter.

The match, played in front of a sold-out AsiaWorld-Arena, began on Vitality’s pick of Inferno and at the break, it was the world’s best squad that held a 7-5 lead after a strong attacking side.

Vitality held an 11-6 lead at one stage in the second half, but Falcons gradually wore their opponents down and after forcing overtime by winning six of the last seven rounds, they pulled ahead and won their opponent’s pick 16-13.

The second map was much more straightforward for Falcons, who held a 7-5 lead at the break after a good showing on their attacking side. Once they switched over to the more favourable defender side, they showed their class for a convincing 13-7 success.
