Hong Kong table tennis player Doo to be flag bearer at National Games closing ceremony
Closing ceremony scheduled to start at 8pm in Shenzhen, bringing to close almost two weeks of sporting action

Hong Kong table tennis player Doo Hoi-kem will be the city’s flag bearer at the National Games closing ceremony on Friday, which is being held at the Huanle Theatre in Shenzhen.
The 15th edition of the multi-sport event is coming to a close after almost two weeks of action in various venues and stadiums across Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau.
With the ceremony less than three hours away, a government source confirmed to the Post that the honour of carrying the Bauhinia flag had fallen to the Olympic bronze medallist
Doo, who will turn 29 next Thursday, took part in two events at the National Games. She was eliminated – alongside Wong Chun-ting – in the mixed doubles quarter-final by Hebei pair Zhou Yu and Zhan Xiaotong. And was knocked out of the second round of the women’s singles by Liu Fei of Liaoning.
A four-time world championships mixed doubles bronze medallist, Doo was among the women’s team that claimed bronze at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.
