Hong Kong Bulls may be step closer to CBA league after Kai Tak lined up to host games
Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau has been in talks with the club over the venue, which has identified around 12 slots for 2026-27 season

Hong Kong Bulls moved a step closer to playing in the top flight of Chinese basketball after the city’s government said it could use Kai Tak Arena between 2026 and 2027 to host several home games.
A spokeswoman for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) said it had spoken to the Bulls regarding the 2026-27 Chinese Basketball Association season, and had helped in the Bulls’ discussion with Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSPL).
According to the sports park, there were 12 slots available for the Bulls to use, however team sources said they would only coincide with four or five matches during the regular season.
In the past two seasons, a CBA team has had to play between 23 and 26 games at home.
There is already a shortage of basketball courts in Hong Kong considered good enough to host Fiba’s elite-level competitions, something that slow the development of the sport in the city.
