Hong Kong artists’ wow moment as Son Heung-min and Spurs stars wear their design
Parents Parents savour best commission after Premier League idols sport their handiwork in front of a record-breaking crowd.

A group of Hong Kong artists said they experienced a genuine “wow” moment when they saw their shirt number design on the backs of Son Heung-min and his Tottenham Hotspur teammates.
Parents Parents, a Kowloon-based street art collective, were commissioned by the club to create a Hong Kong-themed design for the historic North London derby at Kai Tak Stadium on Thursday.
“When I saw the Instagram post of the jersey before the match, I just thought, ‘wow’,” Wong Tin-yau, one of the artists, said. “I could not imagine how it would feel seeing it on the players. When I saw them coming on the pitch wearing our design, I felt grateful; it was a special moment.
“People from the club said the players loved the jersey, which was really good news for us.”
The company, which was launched in 2012, was approached by Royalclub Creative Agency in Shanghai on behalf of Spurs only around two months ago.

“We said yes straight away; it was such a great opportunity,” Wong said. “This is the most exciting commission we’ve had.”
