ONE Championship: Superlek eyes 3 title shots, but says he won’t fight again this year
Regaining Muay Thai title top of the agenda for 29-year-old Thai fighter, but injury rehab likely to keep him out of ONE 173 event

Muay Thai legend Superlek Kiatmoo9 said he did not expect to fight again this year, but had his sights set on three belts when he does finally return to the ring.
Speaking during a visit to Hong Kong, the 29-year-old ended speculation he could feature at the star-studded ONE 173 event in Tokyo in November, saying his next bout could be “maybe by the start of next year”.
While the current ONE Championship flyweight kickboxing title holder said he was more focused on that discipline for the moment, he said he was determined to regain the bantamweight Muay Thai title he lost in March.
“Whether it is kickboxing or Muay Thai, my targets are always on the flyweight or the bantamweight divisions,” Superlek said, speaking through a translator. “I am interested in fighting anyone from these two weight classes.
“I want to try getting the bantamweight kickboxing title. In Muay Thai, I want to regain my bantamweight belt, and have a go at the now vacant flyweight belt. These are my goals and motivations now.”

At ONE 172 in Japan, Superlek had his bantamweight belt stripped after failing the pre-fight weigh-in and hydration test.
