Jorge Masvidal claims former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor has changed his tune after seeing him beat Nate Diaz for the “BMF” belt earlier this month.
The 35-year-old Masvidal (professional MMA record 35-13) dominated a bloodied Diaz for three rounds before the doctor’s stoppage at Madison Square Garden on November 2.
“To be quite honest, [McGregor] was flirting with the possibility of fighting the winner when the winner was Nate,” Masvidal said on the Dan Le Batard Show on ESPN.
“Since I’ve won, he hasn’t said a peep. That dude don’t want it, man.”


McGregor (21-4), who has not fought since his fourth-round rear-naked choke loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, previously said he “designed” the BMF belt. “The Notorious” recently tweeted he wanted it “spit-shined” for him.
The 31-year-old Irishman also tweeted a Masvidal-related message soon after the Cuban-American secured the belt. He referenced Masvidal’s classic “three piece and a soda” sound bite following his backstage bust-up with Leon Edwards in London in March.

“I’m not gonna be one of these cyber bullies – if you don't wanna fight, I don’t wanna fight,” Masvidal said of McGregor. “If you wanna fight, then I’m licking my chops, man. We’re going shopping.”
At the UFC 244 post-fight press conference, welterweight Masvidal also warned lightweight McGregor of the size discrepancy between them.
“I’ll f*** that little guy up, man. He’s a f****** midget,” Masvidal said. “I don’t know, man, that dude’s been talking wild for a second.
“If he fights and gets a victory, and he wants this ... and some of you [expletives] are mean man, because you know what I’d do to that little dude, bro.”
