ONE Championship: Jarred Brooks open to fights with Demetrious Johnson, John Lineker ‘if the money is right’
- American faces Bokang Masunyane in strawweight title eliminator on April 22, and says South African is better than reigning champ Joshua Pacio
- Brooks insists Asian martial arts promotion has ‘just got to pay me’ to fight fellow UFC veterans Johnson and Lineker

American wrestling specialist Jarred Brooks is dialled in on his imminent fight with South Africa’s Bokang Masunyane, but sees plenty of interesting opportunities further down the road.
Brooks and Masunyane, ONE Championship’s No 2 and 1-ranked strawweights respectively, will collide on April 22 in Singapore.
The winner will earn a crack at long-reigning strawweight champion Joshua Pacio, but Brooks is determined to focus on the task at hand – which he suspects will be more difficult than a potential title fight with the Filipino champ.
“In my personal opinion, I think Bokang is better than Joshua Pacio,” the 28-year-old told the Post. “I’m not looking past Bokang.
“I’m going to keep on keeping him in my mind, and when Joshua comes, I’m prepared for him as well.”
While Brooks is focused on Bokang, that does not mean he has not given any thought to his future in ONE Championship.

Despite being just two fights into his career with the Asian martial arts promotion, he already stands out as one of the biggest stars on its roster, in large part because of his previous fights in the UFC, Bellator and Rizin Fighting Federation, and his gift of the gab.
