So here’s 15 athletes who gained the most followers through the Games, with Brazilian athletes in particular benefiting.

Gymnast Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated Olympian, collected four medals in Paris and even pipped Simone Biles on a few of those occasions.

The numbers echoed the tale. Andrade’s follower count swelled by 8.6m.
