LingGuang, an artificial intelligence vibe coding tool by Ant Group, has become a mini-app factory, helping users create 3.3 million flash apps in the two weeks since its launch, according to the Chinese fintech giant.

Launched on November 18, LingGuang is a multimodal AI assistant that can generate simple apps in as little as 30 seconds in response to the users’ natural language prompts.

Ant is an affiliate of Alibaba Group Holding, which owns the South China Morning Post.

In the past two weeks, users had leveraged the app’s coding capabilities to build a diverse range of interactive apps, from a daily meal planner to a customised stretching exercise coach, according to the company on Tuesday.

LingGuang, which also serves as a conventional AI chatbot, is riding on the growing interest in vibe coding tools in China and globally. On the mainland, search giant Baidu launched its no-code tool Miaoda in November, while US-based vibe coding leader Replit has been helping over 40 million users globally generate code to build software. Google also unveiled an upgraded Gemini 3 last month with improved vibe coding capabilities.
