Correctional Services Department: A governmental body in Hong Kong, the Correctional Services Department (CSD) is dedicated to protecting the public and reducing crime. Its primary mission involves providing a secure, safe, and humane environment for persons in custody, alongside offering comprehensive rehabilitation services to facilitate their reintegration into society. Based in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the CSD manages 29 correctional facilities, focusing on safe custody, offender rehabilitation, and community education. It plays a crucial role in the criminal justice system and has developed an internationally acclaimed correctional system, also contributing to safeguarding national security.
