Xia Baolong
Xia Baolong is a prominent Chinese politician with extensive experience in regional governance and national affairs. Currently, he serves as Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, a role he assumed in February 2020. Previously, he held significant positions including Vice Mayor of Tianjin and Governor and Party Secretary of Zhejiang province, where he worked closely with President Xi Jinping. Known for a firm approach, he has publicly emphasised national security and economic development in Hong Kong and Macau.
