Monster hurricane Melissa ravages Jamaica, heads towards Cuba

Hurricane Melissa made landfall on the island nation of Jamaica on October 28, 2025. The hurricane was among the strongest ever recorded and the most severe seen in Jamaica. Much of the island’s power infrastructure has been damaged, although a full damage assessment could take days.
