Apec director talks about refocusing organisation amid the coronavirus pandemic

Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Secretariat spoke to the Asia Society about how the organisation is changing and rising to the challenges of a world gripped by Covid-19. A wide range of issues, from the digital economy to female empowerment, was discussed with particular emphasis on Apec’s roles in keeping trade and investment flowing, building resilience, focusing on collaboration and to ensure outcomes are met under key project initiatives.
