Kim Jong-un invites Vladimir Putin to visit as South Korea worries about their growing ties

On the back of a meeting between Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin in Russia, state media in Pyongyang reported on September 14, 2023 that Putin accepted an invitation to visit North Korea. South Korea has expressed concern over the two increasingly isolated countries fostering closer ties.
