Survivors of Philippines Catholic church bombing recall deadly blast

A morning mass at a Catholic church in Marawi in the Philippines was bombed on December 3, 2023, killing at least four people and injuring dozens of others. President Ferdinand Marcos Jnr blamed “foreign terrorists” for the attack which followed a series of military operations against local pro-Islamic State groups in the southern Philippines. Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for the attack.
