‘It’s painful’: newest North Korean weapon against the South is blood-curdling noise

South Korea's border island of Ganghwa has been bombarded with blood-curdling sounds almost daily since July 2024. The audio assault is reportedly part of a new campaign by the nuclear-armed North to try and drive residents to despair. Affected residents say they have suffered health problems related to lack of sleep and are calling for Seoul to do something to protect civilians.
