Japan reeling from shocking attack as man murders teen in McDonald’s

Police in Japan are investigating the stabbing of two 15-year-old junior high school students at a McDonald's in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka prefecture on December 14, 2024. A female student identified as Saaya Nakashima was fatally stabbed in the stomach. A second teen, a boy, was stabbed in the waist and remains in hospital. The victims were waiting in line at the fast-food restaurant when a man entered and stabbed them, reportedly without saying a word. Police are still looking for the attacker and investigating the crime as a murder.
