Thousands of freed scam workers have been languishing in an open-air detention centre in Myawaddy, a border town in Myanmar, as they await repatriation. Many face overcrowded and unsanitary conditions in such makeshift camps. Thailand, Myanmar and China are set to hold three-way talks in the coming weeks to coordinate repatriation efforts.
