Honda to halt car sales in South Korea

With sales sliding across Asia and competition rising, the Japanese carmaker is officially pulling out by year’s end.

Honda Motor will end its South Korean car sales by the end of 2026, concluding operations that began in 2004. The move follows a 60 per cent sales drop in China and declining performance in Southeast Asia. The company cited a changing market environment and fierce competition from local and Chinese rivals.
