Water shortages and extreme heat have led to a decrease in Pakistan’s chilli crop yields and quality, affecting farmers’ and traders’ incomes. Pakistan is the fourth-largest global producer of chillies, which account for around 1.5 per cent of the nation’s agricultural GDP.
