Residents along the Red River area in Hanoi have been staging a public but silent show of opposition to an 11,000-hectare (27,182-acre) redevelopment project that could displace 250,000 people. Protesters displayed cautiously worded banners and T-shirts across the city, despite threats of a police crackdown.
