Hong Kong cultivated seafood start-up Avant Meats seeks funds to expand in Singapore

Started in Hong Kong, cultivated seafood company Avant Meats plans to raise tens of millions of US dollars late this year to fund a 20 to 30-fold expansion of its pilot plant in Singapore. Carrie Chan, CEO and co-founder, said a tasting event held in November 2023 has boosted her confidence for the expansion. She also shared her insights about ocean sustainability with the Post at the sidelines of One Earth Summit on March 25, 2024.
