China’s Li Na enters International Tennis Hall of Fame

Li Na became the first Asian-born player to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame on July 20. She was enshrined along with France’s Mary Pierce and Russia’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov in an on-court ceremony in Rhode Island. Li, from Wuhan, China, enthralled the world after winning two Grand Slams and reached a career-high ranking of No 2 female tennis player in the world on Feb 17, 2014.
