Rescuers on scene of deadly hotel collapse in China’s eastern city of Suzhou

The Siji Kaiyuan hotel, located in the city of Suzhou in eastern China, collapsed on July 12, 2021. The incident in the city in Jiangsu province killed at least one person and left 10 others missing. More than 500 firefighters were deployed to the scene, and seven survivors have been rescued so far. The local government is currently investigating the cause of the disaster.
