Twitter’s former security chief has told US lawmakers about concerns that foreign governments spied on users of the popular microblogging site. During a hearing of the US Senate judiciary committee on September 13, 2022, Peiter "Mudge" Zatko offered testimony that threw light on the social media company’s cybersecurity practices amid its reluctance to turn away from China as the fastest-growing overseas market for ad revenue.
