China-built hydropower station in Angola enters main construction phase

Angola’s Caculo-Cabaca hydropower station, built under China’s Belt and Road Initiative, has entered its main phase of construction. Upon completion, the project is expected to alleviate the electricity shortage in Angola and become the country’s largest hydroelectric plant and the third largest in Africa.
