China’s first AI generated animated film hits the big screen
Directed by Ma Teng, the film was co-produced by China Media Group (CMG), Beijing New Film Union Films and other companies.
China’s first full-process AI generated animated feature film The Reunion Journey, held a test screening in Beijing on December 20, 2025. The movie, featuring two giant panda characters, centres on the concepts of reunion and cultural affinity.
