Chinese woman reunited with biological family, 35 years after she went missing
Woman went missing in 1991 as a two-year-old girl and was raised by adoptive mother who found her, but was unable to locate her parents.
A woman in China has been reunited with her biological family, 35 years after she went missing as a toddler. Cui Ning met her mother and sister on July 7 in the city of Yilan in Guangxi province. In 1991, when she was two years old, Cui got lost in a market where her father was selling vegetables. A woman who was shopping at the market found her, and after unsuccessfully trying to locate the girl’s parents, took her home where she ended up raising her. The volunteer group Baby Back Home facilitated the reunion after Cui’s sister replied to a social media video hours after it was posted in April, and a DNA test later confirmed their biological relationship.
