Shanghai battles widespread flooding after thunderstorms

Shanghai roads were flooded after thunderstorms brought torrential rain to the city on Sunday. More than 200mm (7.9 inch) of rain fell within five hours in Yangpu district, inundating underground supermarkets and malls. Local weather authorities expect heavy rain to continue in the coming days.
