IOC bans protesting during anthems for Tokyo 2020

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has released an expanded version of Rule 50, which specifically bans athletes from raising a fist or taking a knee during the playing of national anthems. Competitors who break the rule will be subject to disciplinary measures, in what was seen as an attempt by Games officials to keep politics out of the events.
