China under pressure as Nanjing airport coronavirus cluster spreads to 15 cities

A cluster of coronavirus infections at an airport in the eastern city of Nanjing in Jiangsu province has spread to around 200 people, including at least 30 in 15 cities across China in just over a week. The Nanjing cluster broke out on July 20, 2021, when several cleaners in Lukou International Airport were initially infected. The spread is being fuelled by the highly infectious Delta variant that has now swept across 132 countries.
