Subversion trial gets under way for 47 Hong Kong opposition activists and former legislators

A landmark national security trial kicked off in Hong Kong on February 6, 2023. Forty-seven activists, politicians and former legislators face charges of conspiracy to commit subversion. Around one hundred people were seen lining up outside the court, amid heavy security.
