Computer system breakdown at Hong Kong airport delays dozens of Cathay flights, stranding travellers

A computer glitch at the Hong Kong International Airport on March 16, 2023, sparked dozens of flight delays and left hundreds of travellers stranded in the airport departure hall. The incident happened during a regular testing and maintenance, when the computer system broke down at around 5am. The delays, which affected primarily Cathay flights, lasted until the following morning, delaying more than 50 flights. The Post spoke to a traveller who was affected by the outage.
