A third foreign judge serving on Hong Kong's Court of Final Appeal has announced her resignation. Canadian judge Beverley McLachlin's decision was announced just days after two judges from the UK said they were stepping down, citing Hong Kong’s political situation. The Hong Kong government said it strongly disagreed with remarks made by one of the judges, Jonathan Sumption, who said the city’s rule of law was under threat.
