Geopolitics has dented Hong Kong law enforcement but crooks still being caught: security chief

Hong Kong Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung said some Western countries’ move to suspend their extradition agreements with the city was “a shame” as it did benefit some criminals but the cooperation of law enforcement with global agencies has not been affected by geopolitical tensions. He also said with the passage of the city’s domestic national security law, his bureau will also facilitate travels of residents and visitors to help improve the investment environment.
