China’s Olympic athletes begin three-day visit to Hong Kong

China’s Olympic athletes travelled from the mainland to Hong Kong for a three-day visit to showcase their talents and meet people in the city. The delegation of 65 athletes and eight coaches involved in 16 sports events arrived on August 29, 2024, and were greeted at the airport by city government officials including Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung. Hong Kong students wearing blue hats were also on hand to welcome mainland China’s Olympic stars.
