Record 24 students score perfect marks in Hong Kong’s university entrance exams

About 36.8 per cent of eligible day-school candidates attained minimum entrance requirements for city’s eight public universities.

Graduating secondary school students across Hong Kong received their results on Wednesday for the Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE), the city’s university entrance examinations. A record number of 24 top scorers from 15 schools were seen this year. Eleven of them earned the title of “super top scorers” with a perfect score of 5** in seven subjects and an “attained” grade in citizenship and social development.
