Beijing workers begin return to offices despite Covid surge as businesses struggle to reopen

Life in Beijing is slowly returning to normal after authorities lifted most Covid-19 prevention measures, even as a surge in new infections continues. Since December 20, 2022, office workers have been allowed to return without having to provide a negative Covid test.
