Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr were beaten by Al-Ahli in the Saudi Super Cup final in Hong Kong on August 23, 2025. Al-Nassr drew 2-2, then were beaten 5-3 on penalties. Ronaldo scored the opening goal of the match and another in the penalty shoot-out. The Portuguese footballer attracted 30,000 spectators at the Hong Kong Stadium. The Saudi Super Cup was played in China for the first time as part of Saudi Arabia’s push to raise the profile of its domestic football league.
