Syrian ‘White Helmets’ evacuated to Jordan by Israeli military

More than 400 Syrian civilians, including the White Helmets, fled to Jordan via Israel in an overnight operation. The group, officially known as the Syrian Civil Defence, is a volunteer organisation credited with saving thousands of lives in a rebel-held region of the country.
