Where is Omar al-Bashir? Location of former Sudan dictator unknown amid chaos in capital

The location of Sudan’s former dictator, Omar al-Bashir, is unclear after fighting in the capital Khartoum reached the Kober prison where he has been held for four years. Bashir ruled the country for three decades before he was overthrown in  a popular uprising in 2019. The Sudanese military said the former leader was being held in a military hospital, while the rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces said he had been released.
