President Trump accuses China of US election interference in prime-time speech
During a prime-time address to the nation, the US president blended domestic and global politics by accusing Beijing of meddling in the American electoral process.
US President Donald Trump used his nearly 30-minute prime-time national “speech to the nation” to accuse China of carrying out the “largest compromise of election data in history”. Speaking ahead of the November midterm elections, Trump alleged Beijing harvested millions of voter records and has interfered in US voting since 2020. The Chinese embassy in Washington has denied allegations of election interference.
