Horse No 1 PHOENIX LIGHT (G192) E C W Wong Near the 600 Metres was steadied away from ALLURING LAOS.
Horse No 2 ALLURING LAOS (J478) H Bentley After the event, H Bentley could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 AHREN (K183) C L Chau Shifted out at the start and made contact with CROSSBORDERPEGASUS.
Near the 500 Metres was bumped by BIENVENUE and as a result shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 BEAUTY FORMULA (K066) M L Yeung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 BLAZING BEAM (K103) L Ferraris Bumped shortly after the start.
Near the 550 Metres brushed with CROSSBORDERPEGASUS and as a result made the turn wider.
Horse No 7 BULB GENERAL (K218) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 CROSSBORDERPEGASUS (K008) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and then bumped with AHREN which shifted out slightly.
In the Home Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride out when racing greenly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) A Atzeni After the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SUMMIT CHEERS and BULB EMPEROR.
Horse No 12 BIENVENUE (J490) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly afterwards by BULB EMPEROR which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Near the 200 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded between BLAZING BEAM and PHOENIX LIGHT which shifted out slightly.
After the event, L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Crossborderpegasus defied a four wide run with cover travelling midfield to get up near the 100m for a debut win. He clearly has plenty of upside to come. Ahren ran on nicely to snatch second after a wide trip travelling third last from gate eight. It was an eye-catching run on debut. Bulb General came from last to just miss second prize money in a sweep of the placings for first-time starters and does appear to have a promising future. Well-backed With A Smile found a few too good after claiming the lead 200m out following a prominent run wide without cover from gate 11. It was a good run in defeat at just his second start. Veteran Phoenix Light ran on steadily for fifth after getting held up early in the straight following a one-off trip from midfield. It was another honest performance in the grade. Bulb Emperor produced a grinding effort following a rails run from midfield. He will be looking forward to Class Five. Bienvenue ran on without threatening settling fourth last from gate two. He might be ready to tackle 1,400m now.
